Amy Hendricks, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University. While completing her studies, she earned a certification in Aging and Health, which laid the foundation for her to enhance her expertise through fieldwork at a local cancer center, where she provided psychosocial support to patients and caregivers facing serious illness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Amy went on to serve in the ICU trauma unit as a Patient and Family Support Social Worker, offering psychosocial support and compassionate care to patients and their loved ones during moments of crisis and loss—an experience that continues to shape her deeply supportive, client-centered approach. She also has extensive experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), helping individuals stabilize, build coping skills, and successfully transition back into their daily lives. With broad experience in hospital, outpatient, and community-based settings, she brings both clinical expertise and heartfelt dedication to helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

She specializes in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention, drawing on approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), brief solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. With a compassionate and collaborative style, she helps clients manage depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and relationship challenges, while fostering healthier coping skills and emotional resilience. Clients often describe Amy’s approach as empowering and nonjudgmental, as she partners with them on a journey of healing, self-discovery, and lasting positive change.
