Kirsten Messano, MSW, LSW

Licensed Social Worker

Kirsten is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree from Rutgers University School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She also holds a New Jersey School Social Worker certification and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

She has experience across a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, outpatient programs, geriatric care management, and residential care facilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kirsten worked as a Hospice Social Worker, providing psychosocial support, grief counseling, and care coordination for patients and their loved ones during moments of uncertainty, isolation, and loss. Her clinical background has focused on supporting individuals and families through complex medical, emotional, and transitional life experiences. She utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, grounded in dignity, compassion, and trauma-informed care.

She is passionate about helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including mental health concerns, illness, aging, and major life transitions. Kirsten strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered.
